How a dossier is made
The evidence chain, the four indicators, entity resolution, what is verified and what is company-stated, and how errors are corrected. Published so that anyone can check our work.
The chain
Source → original location → document date → retrieval date → entity match → verification status → contradictions. Every important claim opens to it. Numbers without a chain are not shown. Where a source has limits (a court database that publishes selected decisions; a registry that lists shareholders but not controllers), the limit is written on the claim.
Statuses
- Verified: matched to an official or primary source by an analyst
- Partial: source searched with stated limits, or through a partner
- Company-stated: supplied by the company, not independently verified
- Licensed / supplied: licensed data or a restricted document
- Open question: unresolved and listed
- Contradiction: sources disagree; both shown
Four indicators
Completeness, freshness, open questions, human review. We do not publish a single trust score, because a number that cannot be explained is worth less than a list that can. Low data is not shown as high risk; no negative information found is not shown as no risk.
Review
An analyst reviews every brief before release: entity match confirmed, contradictions resolved or recorded, open questions listed, reviewer named and dated. Phase-2 and phase-3 jurisdictions use partner offices for litigation and registry work and say so.
